First ever baby shoot

Took 220 pics and ended up with 35 keepers, not too bad! This was much harder than I had expected tiny babies are seriously wobbly and I didn't think I had anything fab at the time, but having put them through lightroom am pretty pleased with the results - how gorgeous are these two, Oliver and Emily?

And now for the nieces!

Love them to pieces!

More from Oldham Library

Now for some kids - this little boy was just beautiful and had a really relaxed thing going on, even with having his face painted in a really noisy library and some strange woman sticking a camera in his face he was just utterly zen. Really pleased with these 2.

Dr Who Day - Oldham Library

Fantastic morning at Oldham Library taking photos for my sister in law, Kate. She runs all sorts of after school clubs and schemes to get kids into the library and this day was the biggest thing to date and it was brilliant. She gets loads of pics of throngs of people doing crafts, playing on computers, meeting Dr Who characters and generally discovering that the library is a pretty cool place and I get these stunners - in a b&w mood today and the design of the library was just perfect.

Rose & Co Apothecary - Howarth

The final and very best photos from Sunday. This shop is in the middle of Howarth and always attracts a crowd, with good reason. It is beautifully maintained and stocks all manner of lovely things for bath and body along with sweets - the smell alone is amazing! It has a great atmosphere and a real warmth and although I thought it was going to be too dark for the photos to be much good I really am pleased with them. The chap outside singing was brilliant as well.

Howarth

The last of the photos from last Sunday. Howarth is always lovely but never more so than on the first vaguely warm day in what feels like months. There were loads of people out enjoying the day and the whole place had a great buzz. Loads of photo ops and a cream tea was compulsory - shame about the garlic flavour in the cream though!

Heptonstall Village

Yet more from Heptonstall, lots of doors. Heptonstall is lovely and the kind of place people feel proud to live in and it shows, all of the houses were beautifully kept and the range and colour of doors was a photographers dream.

More from Heptonstall

Hope this works - couldn't add more pics just now and there are loads more to come!

Heptonstall & Howarth - Heptonstall Church

Had a fantastic day, first warm day of Spring so we headed off to Heptonstall first and then on to Howarth, loads of pics so rather than overload will do a few each day. This first lot are taken in Heptonstall which was fantastic, could have stayed there all day taking photos.

Just when I thought she couldn't be any more lovely - she was!

Boy to man - well sort of!

Something weirdly grown up about a boy putting on a tie, something weirdly handsome too - think it might be the whole turned up collar "Ladies and Gentlemen, Tom has left the building" or maybe not! Point a camera at this one and he generally pulls a face so I thought if I could get him doing something he'd be distracted and would forget to gurn and it worked!! In the first one I had just given him the following direction "turn round, not that far, no a bit further, towards me a bit more, stand still" and he was saying "what the hell?!!" He only agreed to let me take these once I had told him what was for dinner - a major concern when you are 15 and growing like a weed!
